I. GRAPHIC DESIGN OPTIONS For YOUR WEB
SITE
1. COLOR SCHEME
Choose three (3) to six (6) Theme Colors for the web site from our
Color Palette Chart . These color choices will be used for the options
listed below. You might consider making the web site's color scheme
consistent with your business' color scheme.
Specify one of these colors for each
of the following:
A. Navigation Color:
NOTE: Navigation is the text or buttons used to get the user from one
place on the web site to another. The user will "click" on the
navigation to move to new web pages.
B. Headlines/Titles Color:
NOTE: The Headlines typically appear as the title of a section of
information, such as: Home, Company History, Location/Directions, Street
Map and Contact Us.
C. Text Color:
NOTE: Text is the "body copy" or actual written information,
which appears on each page.
D. Primary Background color for the
entire site:
NOTE: We recommend colors that will contrast well against your text
color. White is the most commonly used background color for web sites
but is not mandatory.
2. NAVIGATION STYLE
Navigation is the method users follow to move from one place to another
on your website. By clicking on the navigation the user moves to the new
place. Choose either text or button navigation methods.
3. FONT STYLE
Choose one (1) Font Style for each of the following:
A. Navigation Font
B. Headlines/Titles Font
NOTE: The font is the typeface or lettering style. While these two
elements could utilize the same font, it is not mandatory. We do
recommend that the navigation font be a simple font to assure
legibility. The Headlines can also be simple but because they are
displayed at a larger size it is possible to use any of the fonts shown
and the typeface to be easily read.
II. ADMINISTRATION OPTIONS For YOUR
WEB SITE
1. Business (Web Site) Description:
After we have completed your web site, we will register it with over
1000 "Search Engines". When someone queries one of these
search engines, the results appear along with a description of the web
sites. Please write a 25-35 word paragraph that briefly describes your
business, its products and services. We recommend that you load your
description with words critical to your business activity. These words
should be words that you believe a potential customer might enter into a
search engine as search criteria.
The following is a reasonable Web
Site Description:
"Store Name" has fine jewelry, diamonds, gold, rubies,
sapphires, emeralds, pearls, opal, garnet, topaz, sterling silver, as
well as fashion and estate jewelry. Bridal Registry, china, crystal,
silver.
2. General Key Words:
Please list up to 25 important words that a potential customer
might associate with your business.
These key words are a critical part of how Search Engines find web
sites.
A jewelry retailer key word list
might include:
jewelry, gold, diamonds, gifts. Other related words, such as
"Valentines" could be effective.
3. Geographic Information:
In a separate "geographic-profile" of your web site we will
designate specific key-geographic words, descriptive of your location.
Similar to your "Business Description" above, these
key-geographic words are also used by search engines to locate your
store on the Internet. Please list up to 20 words, such as
state, city, region, neighboring cities, states and regions and any
other well known descriptions of your area, such as "The Big
Apple".
4. E-mail Account Names:
Please specify exact addresses. We recommend that you create e-mail
addresses that are easy for your customers/associates to remember.
Short addresses work very well. Use at least three characters or digits.
Your domain name will form the last half of your e-mail address.
Typical addresses might be:
abc@yourstore.com - using your initials
john@yourstore.com - using your first name
johnsmith@yourstore.com - using your full name
jsmith@yourstore.com - using variations of your name
marketing@yourstore.com - using a business department or division
info@yourstore.com - using a generic "mailbox"
mailinglist@yourstore.com - using a task focused address
